Kelly, in partnership with a growing manufacturing company, is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic in Charlotte, NC (28269).

This is a temp to hire role, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client after a short contract period with Kelly. Once you are hired permanently, you will be offered their fantastic benefit and compensation package.

  • Hours: 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm Monday – Friday

  • Pay: $30.90 per hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for assisting with repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure efficient production operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to safety.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of industrial machines and equipment (conveyors, motors, pumps, production lines, etc.).

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of components.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues under the guidance of senior maintenance staff.

  • Replace or repair worn parts such as belts, bearings, and gears.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment as directed.

  • Help maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

  • Support the installation and assembly of new equipment as needed.

  • Communicate promptly with team members and supervisors regarding equipment issues or safety concerns.

  • Willingness to participate in training and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance or related field is a plus.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively in a team environment.

  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and climbing ladders.
