Temp to hire
Location: Troy, MI
Pay rate: $25-$30/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
*MUST be able to lift 100 LBS*
Position Overview
The Assembly Technician II ensures that every unit shipped performs reliably in the customer’s facility. With 3–5 years of hands-on assembly experience, this role works independently to assemble, inspect, and prepare components that meet high quality standards.
This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement and safety.
Key Responsibilities (Job Duties)
- Assemble and disassemble components according to established procedures and quality standards
- Complete assigned assembly tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Inspect components and finished assemblies to ensure they meet required specifications
- Learn and follow standard testing procedures to verify product performance
- Accurately use internal systems for order tracking, communication, and documentation
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or non-conforming materials and escalate issues promptly
- Proactively communicate process, tooling, or quality concerns before they impact customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Properly use and maintain hand tools and basic power tools
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality goals
Job Requirements
Experience & Skills
- 3–5 years of hands-on assembly or manufacturing experience required
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks without step-by-step supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with physical components
- Experience using hand tools and basic power tools
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical procedures
Technical Proficiency
- Basic computer skills for tracking orders and internal communication
- Ability to learn and use order management and production systems
- Comfortable documenting work accurately and consistently
