QA Laboratory Technician – 3rd Shift
Location: Southeast of Madison, WI 
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire or Possible Direct Hire for the Right Candidate
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–7:00 AM
Pay: Starting around $30.00/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a QA Laboratory Technician for a 3rd shift opportunity with one of our clients. This position is available as a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the possibility of direct hire for the right candidate.

Position Summary

The QA Laboratory Technician supports the manufacturing process by performing laboratory analysis of incoming materials and blends used in finished products, as well as finished product testing prior to final customer release. This role is instrumental in supporting production operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring production lines continue to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Follow standard operating procedures and other controlled documents as outlined in the Quality Manual.

  • Analyze incoming chemicals and raw materials.

  • Perform analysis of in-process blends and finished products.

  • Analyze line and tank flushes.

  • Enter and maintain accurate data and results in the appropriate computer systems.

  • Calibrate laboratory instruments.

  • Coordinate testing activities to ensure the timely flow of production.

  • Prepare laboratory samples and obtain re-samples when necessary.

  • Follow all standard operating procedures and safety procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.

  • Minimum of 2 year of laboratory experience required.

  • Hands-on laboratory experience with HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, and other wet chemistry techniques required.

  • Experience implementing customer test methods for GC and FTIR is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Effective prioritization, organizational, and self-motivation skills.

  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and correlate data.

  • Ability to read, record data accurately, and follow detailed instructions.

  • Strong math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across multiple departments.
