Position Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM (Weekends may be required, hours subject to business needs)
Required Attire: Steel-toe shoes (composite safety shoe covers may be supplied if needed)


Job Overview

The Production Associate plays a key role in the manufacturing process, supporting supervisors to meet production goals while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. You will work in a dynamic food production environment, where accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail are crucial.


Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment following supervisor instructions

  • Move carts and trays in and out of chiller rooms (38°F), align products, and rework items as needed

  • Wear required PPE: lab jacket, protective glasses, helmet, and hearing protection

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow the 5S program

  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols, including HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Document product discrepancies and communicate with supervisors or lead personnel

  • Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs, with assistance when needed)

  • Execute other tasks as assigned, such as transferring to the kitchen area

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 18 years or older

  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and comprehension skills (read, write, follow instructions)

  • Frequent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, lifting, twisting, and climbing

  • Comfortable working in cold (chiller rooms) or noisy environments; PPE provided for safety

  • Able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

  • Reliable transportation to/from work site

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Bilingual in Spanish (not required, but beneficial)

  • Prior experience in the food industry
