Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $65 – $70 per hour

What’s a typical day as Instrument Planning Technician? You’ll be:
- Planning maintenance and reliability programs for critical facility assets
- Creating and maintaining project and outage plans using industry-leading planning software
- Developing and prioritizing work for efficient response, backlog maintenance and cost control
- Coordinating development of work orders and schedules with Operations and Maintenance teams
- Developing short and long-term look-ahead schedules for maintenance and upgrades
- Managing dispatching of work and manpower in coordination with supervision
- Providing technical support within CMMS modules, including SAP S/4HANA
- Ensuring accurate work order documentation and identifying material requirements, interfacing with supply chain as needed
- Assisting in KPI development, regulatory compliance, and generating performance reports
- Supporting procedure writing, recommending training, and participating in budget development
- Performing additional duties as assigned to meet business needs
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have at least 5-7 years of maintenance experience in oil and gas or petrochemical facilities, focusing on instrumentation
- Possess advanced experience with SAP, particularly SAP S/4HANA (required)
- Bring strong working knowledge in planning, scheduling, and execution processes
- Have a High School Diploma or GED (required); a technical degree is a plus
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with project planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project (preferred)
- Have hands-on field experience in instrumentation and planning, with additional exposure to crafts such as welding, rigging/lifting, and fabrication
- Can maintain (or obtain) a TWIC card and hold a state-issued current and valid driver’s license
- Are a self-starter with strong attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Preferably have experience with Prometheus, PHMSA regulated pipeline facilities, and gas compression/metering equipment
