Job Title: Material Handler
Location: On-site – St. Petersburg, FL 33716
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST, 2-2-3 rotating shift. Must be able to work any day of the week.
Contract: 1–3 months with possibility of extension
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Extreme attention to detail and highly organized
• Three (3) years of forklift experience in a materials management or production planning environment
• Previous manufacturing experience and experience in a GMP-regulated industry desirable
• Familiarity with an ERP environment and intermediate computer skills, including Windows navigation, R.F. Locator System, and data entry
• Hazmat trained
• Ability to obtain Catalent Forklift certification for various types of power equipment, including a Man-up forklift that elevates the individual 20 feet above the floor for picking raw material pallets
Responsibilities:
• Lead, coordinate, and schedule activities involved with procuring goods and services, including raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
• Control the flow of material through production or distribution
• Coordinate and issue all raw materials to Production Work Orders for dispensing and requirements for non-dispensed materials, including documentation of logbooks, Work Order Parts List, and recording movement of Lot Controlled materials in DSI/JDE
• Review Work Order schedules and create hard copy Work Order Parts Lists in J.D. Edwards for staging of work orders
• Communicate with Production Supervision regarding issues with raw material requirements
• Coordinate the return of un-dispensed raw materials to the warehouse, empty containers for disposal, and waste material for pickup by Outside Contractor
• Locate materials for QC and stage them for inspection
• Perform physical inventory counts as a secondary duty
• Load and unload off-hour deliveries
• Manage adherence to global contracts while identifying additional opportunities to leverage the supply base
• Monitor and report supplier performance while leading strategic partnership improvement activities
• Handle non-hazardous, hazardous, and DEA waste
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position as directed by the manager
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy
• Perform other duties as assigned
