Mechanical Assembler – 1st Shift
Hartford, WI
Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 – $24.00/hour
Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembler to join a leading manufacturer in Hartford, WI. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical assembly experience who enjoy hands-on work, using tools, reading blueprints, and building large industrial products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for the final assembly of industrial door systems and components according to production schedules and quality standards. Candidates who thrive in physically active environments and take pride in producing quality work are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble industrial door systems and components according to production schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, bills of material, and assembly instructions
- Gather and organize required parts, hardware, and components
- Install motors, chains, straps, and other mechanical components
- Inspect assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy standards are met
- Clean, label, and prepare finished assemblies for staging
- Move completed products to designated staging areas
- Monitor stock levels and report material shortages
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and assist with problem resolution
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical assembly experience
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and follow assembly instructions
- Ability to accurately use tape measures and other measuring tools
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to quality and safety
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of assembly or manufacturing experience
- Electrical assembly experience is an asset
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift 50-75 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment
- Comfortable handling large and awkward industrial components
