Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Location: Onsite in Katy, TX

Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Maintenance & Repair Technician to assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated equipment and control systems.

This position supports production and maintenance teams by helping ensure automation systems operate safely and efficiently. The technician will work under the guidance of senior automation technicians, engineers, and maintenance supervisors.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a motivated individual interested in building hands-on experience with industrial automation, electrical systems, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with troubleshooting automated equipment, PLC-controlled systems, sensors, and electrical components.

  • Perform routine maintenance on automation and control systems.

  • Support the installation and startup of new automated equipment.

  • Inspect equipment and identify potential operational issues.

  • Replace faulty sensors, switches, relays, motors, and other basic automation components.

  • Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Assist with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting activities.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.

  • Communicate equipment issues and repair status to supervisors and production personnel.

  • Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Perform other related maintenance and repair duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience or training in industrial maintenance, automation, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or automated equipment.

  • Ability to read basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work safely in an industrial environment.

  • Willingness to learn from senior technicians and maintenance supervisors.

  • Ability to work Monday–Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
