Job Title: Material Handler – Shipping Clerk
Location: Bedford Park, IL
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $20.50–$22.50 per hour

Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler – Shipping Clerk to join our team in Bedford Park, IL. This position is responsible for operating material handling equipment, managing shipments and inventory, and maintaining an organized shipping/receiving area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift to organize the shipping and receiving area

  • Build pallets and custom crates to accommodate various product sizes

  • Skid and securely package products for safe shipment

  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries with a designated list of trucking companies

  • Generate Bills of Lading (BOL) and schedule pickups using carrier sites such as XPO, FedEx, and others

  • Ensure systematic, accurate shipping and receiving documentation

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

  • Proficiency in computer use and data entry

  • Organized self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving environments preferred

  • Sit-down forklift experience preferred

  • 6 months-1 year of overhead crane/ hoist experience 

  • Strong Attendance
