CNC Turning Machinist – 1st & 3rd Shift
Location: Aurora, OH
Pay: $21.73/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential for 3rd shift
Openings: 2 on 1st Shift | 1 on 3rd Shift
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
About the Opportunity
We are seeking CNC Turning Machinists to join a leading global industrial manufacturer specializing in precision-engineered components and large bearing systems used in demanding industrial applications.
This is a skilled machining position responsible for operating and setting up CNC turning equipment while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading blueprints, interpreting GD&T, working with G & M codes, setting tool offsets, and navigating CNC controls.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC turning/machining equipment.
- Review blueprints, specifications, programs, and process requirements.
- Read and interpret GD&T and technical drawings.
- Download and edit CNC programs as needed.
- Work with G & M codes, tool offsets, work shifts, and mathematical calculations.
- Operate and navigate Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls.
- Select and use appropriate turning and drilling tooling.
- Monitor machining processes to maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity.
- Perform required quality checks and maintain inspection documentation.
- Maintain tooling, equipment, lifting devices, and the overall work cell.
- Participate in TPM, 6S, continuous improvement, and other operational programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and overall equipment efficiency.
- Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous CNC machining experience, preferably with CNC turning/lathes.
- Experience with CNC machine setup preferred.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Familiarity with G & M codes and CNC program editing.
- Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls is a plus.
- Understanding of turning and drilling tools and their applications.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the assigned work cell.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
