Location: Aurora, OH
Pay: $31.73/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential ($33.23/hour on 3rd shift)
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Heat Treatment Technician to join a leading global industrial manufacturer specializing in precision-engineered components, including large bearings and other mechanical products used in demanding industrial applications.
In this role, you will operate specialized induction hardening equipment used to heat-treat bearing rings and gears. You will be responsible for equipment setup, material handling, process control, quality inspections, and maintaining safe and efficient production.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate induction hardening equipment for various sizes of bearing rings and gears.
- Load, unload, align, and secure large workpieces using cranes, clamps, blocks, and other tooling.
- Set inductors, tooling, speeds, feeds, and other process parameters according to drawings and process sheets.
- Monitor the hardening process to ensure quality, dimensional accuracy, and required specifications.
- Perform Rockwell hardness and hardness-depth testing and document results.
- Perform magnetic-particle or dye-penetrant inspections as required.
- Maintain quench conditions and complete required quality checks.
- Identify and report defective material, setup issues, or equipment problems.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and company procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflow, and overall equipment efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Manufacturing, machining, heat treatment, or industrial equipment experience preferred.
- Experience with induction hardening or heat-treating equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and process documentation.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, measurements, and metric conversions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to safely work around large industrial equipment and handle heavy components.
- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11 PM–7 AM.
