Location: Mechanicsburg, PA
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm)
Position Overview:
Kelly Services is seeking a Shipper/Receiver I for a major logistics operation in Mechanicsburg, PA. This position covers all warehouse material movement—including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping tasks—using barcode scanners, forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks. Candidates must follow strict safety and quality standards, lift up to 50 lbs, and work at heights up to 30 ft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload/load trucks, verify and document shipments, and interface with carriers
- Input receipt data using barcode scanners and computers, sort products for putaway
- Operate powered equipment (forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks) to place products in correct zones
- Assist in bin audits, cycle counts, and carton/unit transfers
- Pack orders, apply special labeling per customer/spec requirements and hazmat procedures
- Prepare outbound shipments and create documentation (BOL, manifest)
- Contact carriers for pickups, handle pallet recycling/clean-up, and report discrepancies for QA
- Maintain workspace cleanliness and support all safety protocols
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ year warehouse/distribution/shipping/receiving experience
- Basic computer skills (experience with warehouse management software preferred)
- Forklift/order picker/pallet jack experience preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 30 ft
- Reliable for 1st shift schedule (6am-2:30pm, ASAP start)
