Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00am to 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: $17.61/hour
Location: Fairview, NC

Position Overview:
Kelly Services is hiring a temp-to-hire Assembly Operator in Fairview, NC for the aerospace industry. This position is responsible for the assembly of components, which may involve the use of microscopes, small hand tools, and fitting components into fixtures. The Assembly Operator I must follow work instructions precisely and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and dedication to producing high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect own work following quality standards and work instructions.

  • Conduct pull tests as required.

  • Use measuring devices such as calipers and gauges to measure components.

  • Inspect products according to blueprints.

  • Complete operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.

  • Troubleshoot and make minor equipment repairs as needed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

  • Adhere to company and departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Read and follow task instructions from drawings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Minimum one year of manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Basic computer skills and good communication skills required.

  • Ability to interpret product blueprints is a plus.

  • Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing workload.

  • Familiarity with measuring devices such as calipers and gauges preferred.

  • Willingness to work overtime to meet production goals.

  • Must be able to lift materials up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to remain stationary for 75% of the shift.

  • Capable of operating machinery and moving between work zones.

  • Ability to understand written instructions in English is required.
