We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team within our school district. The Substitute Teacher wilKelly Education is hiring Substitute staff for Rock Hill Schools!

Responsibilities:
· Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:
· Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans
· Instructing students on a variety of classroom topics/courses
· Building positive relationships
· Assigning reasonable tasks and homework
· Motivate students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
· Create a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
· Adapt to the various learning styles of students
· For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments
Minimum requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction and engagement.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements or autism spectrum disorders.
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance lesson delivery and student participation.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Follow school policies, mandated reporting laws, and confidentiality standards diligently.
- Support curriculum implementation across subjects such as literacy education, math, early childhood education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share best practices and improve instructional approaches.
- Assist with classroom setup, organization, and basic childcare duties as needed.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling across different classrooms and grade levels.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings or childcare environments.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those requiring special education support.
- Familiarity with instructional adaptability for early childhood education or preschool settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to adhere to school policies, including mandated reporting laws related to child safety.
- Competence in using computers and educational technologies to facilitate instruction.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or in private school environments is advantageous.
- Background in literacy education, math instruction, or Montessori methods is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators committed to student success.
