Direct Hire Quality Inspector 
Location: Wood Dale, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm + OT as needed 
Pay: $24.00–$26.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

Kelly has partnered with a precision manufacturing company specializing in custom metal fabrication, machining, and complex component production for a variety of industries. We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Quality team and help ensure that products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections following standardized methods and procedures.

  • Visually inspect or measure parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments

  • Check dimensions against blueprint or work order specifications.

  • Assist in preparation of FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) for submission to customers, including ballooning prints and loading FAIR data into industry portal

  • Maintain logs such as Nonconforming log, other data entry as required

  • Ensure containment of suspect material/parts

  • Support Final Inspection process, back up Designated Quality Representative

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Two year degree or technical training desirable but not required

  • One to three years of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing preferred

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic blueprint reading skills required

  • At minimum a limited background with inspection equipment such as caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.

  • Ability to work individually, initially under supervision, or as part of a team

  • Must have clear written, oral communication  and analytical skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, intermediate or greater skills in Excel.  Able to quickly learn specialized software programs

  • Must be a quick learner
