CNC Machinist – Cleveland, OH

Pay: $23 – $27/hr
Schedule: 1st shift | Mon – Fri 7am – 330pm

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC machinery, interpreting technical drawings and G&M codes, and producing precision-machined parts that meet exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Machine parts from solid blocks of metal, plastic, glass, and other materials.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, setup sheets, and design data.

  • Determine part dimensions, cutting configurations, tooling requirements, speeds, and feed rates.

  • Apply knowledge of material properties, machining processes, and machine capabilities.

  • Determine machine reference points and the direction of cutting paths.

  • Set up tooling and verify machine operation.

  • Read and interpret CNC programs, including G&M codes.

  • Compare setup sheets with existing program sheets to ensure machine instructions are accurate.

  • Conduct trial runs to verify programmed instructions and identify potential issues.

  • Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.

  • Complete quality and production paperwork accurately.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar machining role.

  • Knowledge of CNC programming, computer numerical control, and computer-aided manufacturing.

  • Understanding of computers, electronics, and basic programming concepts.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machining documentation.

  • Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

  • Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup issues.

  • Ability to work independently and meet production timelines.

  • Commitment to workplace safety, accuracy, and good housekeeping.
