Overview
Our client is an engineering, manufacturing, and service organization specializing in medical devices and gas separation technologies. The company designs, develops, manufactures, and supports its products locally, providing solutions that integrate electrical, mechanical, and embedded technology.

The Manufacturing Lab Technician will provide hands-on support for the build, debug, testing, and development of prototype and production-related hardware. This position works closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams and is well suited for someone with strong technical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting and working with both electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, debug, and test development and prototype hardware, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  

• Support electrical testing and troubleshooting of embedded microprocessor-based devices and systems.
  

• Flash software and firmware onto devices as required to support development and testing.
  

• Test electronic, electrical, and mechanical devices and document results.
  

• Perform soldering, including fine-pitch and surface-mount rework.
  

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  

• Assist with mechanical assembly and product development sample builds.
  

• Organize and maintain laboratory equipment, tools, components, and supplies.
  

• Coordinate and order general materials required for laboratory activities.
  

• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams to support project objectives.
  

• Follow established laboratory and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
  

• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and assembly skills.
  

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  

• Strong soldering skills, including fine-pitch and surface-mount rework.
  

• Ability to understand and interpret product performance testing results.
  

• Basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to support multiple projects and priorities.
  

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and perform hands-on technical work throughout the workday.
  

• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  

• Ability to perform detailed work requiring close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  

• Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment and moderate-to-loud noise levels.
