2nd shift
Hours: 1:45pm- 10:15pm. There is voluntary OT available at times.

Skills

  • 1 or more years of experience working in mechanical trades such as auto repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical

  • Example – if they worked as a plumber apprentice or electrical apprentice, that would be a perfect fit

  • Must wear safety shoes/steel toes

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanical Technician to join our team assembling reverse osmosis equipment. In this role, you will lay out, fabricate, and assemble PVC and metal piping spools, install sensors and mechanical devices, and support the construction of high-quality water treatment systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a mechanical trade, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and schematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble reverse osmosis equipment and related mechanical systems.

  • Lay out, fabricate, and assemble PVC and metal piping spools.

  • Install sensors, instruments, valves, fittings, and other mechanical devices.

  • Assemble conduit, electrical panels, and equipment according to applicable quality and EHS standards.

  • Read and interpret engineered drawings, electrical schematics, piping layouts, and assembly instructions.

  • Follow engineering specifications, quality requirements, and approved work procedures.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, function, and compliance with specifications.

  • Identify and report quality issues, design concerns, or equipment problems.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company safety policies and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • At least one year of hands-on experience in a mechanical trade, such as:

    • Automotive repair

    • HVAC

    • Plumbing

    • Pipefitting

    • Industrial maintenance

    • Equipment assembly


  • Ability to read and work from engineered drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.

  • Understanding of basic mechanical assembly, piping, tools, and installation practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate or formal training from a trade school in a mechanical field.

  • Experience assembling PVC or metal piping systems.

  • Experience working with reverse osmosis, water treatment, industrial equipment, or similar systems.

  • Familiarity with sensors, valves, instrumentation, conduit, or electrical panels.

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable following technical drawings and specifications. They should be able to troubleshoot issues, maintain consistent quality, and collaborate effectively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
