We are hiring Long-Term/Building substitute paraeducators in Roselle Public Schools!

Responsibilities:

  • Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies

  • Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs within the classroom.

  • Model the ideas that embrace diversity and inclusivity while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

  • A full-time paraeducator may also be referred to as paraprofessional, 1:1 aide, education technician, teacher aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant, education assistant, learning support assistant, and teaching assistant.

Minimum requirements:

  • Substitute Teacher – 30 College Credits + NJ Sub Cert

  • Long-Term Substitute Teacher – NJ Teaching Certification

  • Substitute Paraprofessional – High School Diploma/Equivalent

Additional requirements:

  • Commitment to work every student attendance day for the length of the assignment

Daily Substitute Para – $15.92/hour
Long-Term Paraprofessional – $18.75/hour
