Material Handler

Position Summary

The Material Handler supports production operations by moving, transferring, and pulling materials required to complete work orders. This role performs accurate inventory transactions in Oracle, delivers materials to production areas, maintains organized staging locations, and ensures all materials are properly verified and documented.

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Stage materials in designated areas and maintain organized inventory locations.
  

• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  

• Operate forklifts, walkie riders, order selectors, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
  

• Pick and pull materials from warehouse or Kanban areas.
  

• Perform accurate Oracle transactions when pulling and transferring materials.
  

• Verify part numbers, lot numbers, quantities, and locations before moving materials.
  

• Weigh and verify materials.
  

• Stock returns from production in the appropriate warehouse or Kanban locations.
  

• Move finished goods from the staging hall to the warehouse to keep production areas clear.
  

• Perform label control and verify that all information is accurate.
  

• Reconcile work orders to ensure the correct materials are issued and all required transactions are completed.
  

• Perform daily cycle counts and zone counts as instructed.
  

• Pull and transact move orders and material requests.
  

• Identify and correct Oracle errors as needed.
  

• Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and company policies.
  

• Work safely around automated robots and heavy equipment.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  

• Must be at least 18 years old.
  

• Forklift experience required.
  

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations.
  

• Ability to accurately navigate complex computer programs.
  

• Good oral and written communication skills.
  

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  

• Open availability and willingness to work a 12-hour rotating schedule.
  

• Ability to use a computer or touchscreen to enter work-order data.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year or more of related material-handling or warehouse experience.
  

• Experience using Oracle inventory systems.
  

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a clean-room environment.
  

• Employees may work around automated robots and heavy equipment.
  

• May be required to sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods.
  

• Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
