Kelly is partnering with an established manufacturer in Hartland, WI to hire an experienced Brake Press Operator.
If you have hands-on brake press experience, can confidently read blueprints, and are comfortable setting up and programming equipment, this could be a great next step in your manufacturing career.

Position: Brake Press Operator
Location: Hartland, WI
Shift: 1st Shift: 6AM to 2PM
2nd shift: 2PM to 10PM
Pay: $21–$27/hour, based on experience
What You’ll Do
As a Brake Press Operator, you will set up, program, and operate brake press equipment to accurately form production parts according to blueprints and specifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and production routings
- Set up, program, and operate brake press equipment
- Accurately position and orient workpieces in the machine
- Form and bend parts according to required specifications
- Use precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and quality
- Make machine and setup adjustments as needed
- Perform basic shop math and metric conversions
- Work with a variety of materials and production requirements
- Follow established quality and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report quality, equipment, or production concerns as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of brake press or related fabrication experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to independently set up and operate brake press equipment
- Experience programming brake press machines
- Strong blueprint-reading skills
- Ability to read and understand specifications and routings
- Basic shop math skills
- Ability to perform metric conversions
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Experience working with a variety of materials preferred
- Familiarity with Safan brake press equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
Physical Requirements
This position involves working in a manufacturing environment and requires the ability to:
- Stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently use hands to handle parts, tools, and equipment
- Operate machinery using hands and feet
- Occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, or balance
- Frequently push, pull, or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally push, pull, or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work safely around moving mechanical equipment in a production environment
