The Production Operator I is responsible for supporting daily production operations while following supervisor direction and maintaining quality, safety, and food manufacturing standards. This role involves working in multiple temperature zones, including a chiller environment maintained at approximately 38°F.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Schedules may include weekends, and hours are subject to business needs.

Essential Job Functions
Follow supervisor and lead instructions to meet production demands.
Monitor the transfer area from the filler to the chiller.
Notify supervisors or leads of discrepancies in product information.
Transfer production carts in and out of chillers and place them in an orderly manner in the work-in-process area.
Align products in the Garvey table area.
Flip trays in the chillers as needed.
Rework products that do not meet specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with the 5S program.
Promote and follow a safe work environment at all times.
Follow HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Comply with food safety, personal safety, company policies, and applicable regulations.
Transfer to the Kitchen area as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
Ability to work in a noisy production environment.
Ability to work for extended periods in cold and/or hot temperature zones and areas where dust may be present.
Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, turn, twist, push, pull, raise arms, lift, climb, and perform other active movements.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance from another associate.
Reliable transportation.
Steel-toe shoes are required. Composite safety shoe covers may be available if needed.

Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Bilingual in Spanish.
Previous food industry or food manufacturing experience.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This position requires prolonged standing and frequent physical movement throughout the shift. Employees may work in noisy production areas and transition between standard, hot, and cold environments, including 38°F chillers. Hearing protection and other required PPE will be provided or required according to company and site safety procedures.
