Our client in Saginaw Michigan is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Accounts Payable Clerk for 4-6 months to ensure that their financial commitments to community providers and vendors run seamlessly.

• Pay rate: $22.73 per hour
  

• Contract Length: 4-6 months with possibility for contract extension

As our Accounts Payable Clerk, you will process vendor payments, manage expense coding and data entry, reconcile accounts, handle routine reporting, and respond professionally to vendor inquiries. You’ll directly support the agency’s culturally competent, person-centered, and trauma-informed care philosophy through accurate and timely financial operations.
What You’ll Do:

• Ensure daily processing of invoices, business credit card transactions, and employee expense reimbursements
  

• Accurately match, code, and process invoices, securing documentation and necessary approvals
  

• Reconcile accounts payable data and maintain vendor files, including W-9s and 1099 forms
  

• Produce ACH disbursements and issue checks in accordance with agency policies
  

• Respond to vendor and auditor inquiries promptly and professionally
  

• Participate in documenting best financial practices and support general accounting needs

What You Bring:

• Associate Degree in accounting, or equivalent experience (3+ years in AP/general accounting)
  

• Experience with accounting software (Great Plains preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and engage respectfully with diverse individuals
