Pay Rate: $36.07/Hr. Temp to Hire
M–F, 8–5; Hybrid, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

About the Job
Kelly is seeking a Communications Manager to standardize and strengthen agency communications. This role oversees internal and external communication strategies, manages social media and website content, supports media relations, writes copy, and builds brand trust through regular content and informational materials.

Key Responsibilities
• Consult with the BCO team to develop effective communication procedures and policies for various situations, including crises.
• Draft and publish media releases announcing and promoting agency news and critical public information.
• Develop talking points for agency and state leadership.
• Respond to media inquiries and write letters, memos, and other business correspondence.
• Communicate with media outlets and journalists and create press kits.
• Develop branding materials and templates, including style guides, communication materials, media releases, and brand templates.
• Coach and assist team members in improving communication skills.
• Conduct communications research and monitor the progress of communication strategies.
• Represent AZDOHS at conferences and events, on task forces and workgroups, and within communities as needed.
• Participate in general AZDOHS staff activities and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Experience in communications, media, and training relations.
• Experience with agency branding.
• Experience in journalism and writing press releases.
