Assembly Operator I

Assignment Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Location: Greensboro, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; overtime may be available

Job Summary
Kelly Services is seeking a Temporary Assembly Operator I in Greensboro, NC, to build and assemble cable assemblies. This position involves repetitive production tasks, including cutting cable, testing, labeling, and packaging finished products.

Responsibilities

• Review the production schedule and build requirements.
  

• Read and follow build packages, customer drawings, prints, and application specifications.
  

• Verify that the correct components are used and that quality standards are met.
  

• Cut, strip, crimp, and assemble cables.
  

• Solder headers or wires to printed circuit boards as needed.
  

• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other assembly equipment.
  

• Perform end-of-line testing on cable assemblies.
  

• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality requirements.
  

• Label and package finished cable assemblies.
  

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  

• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a production team.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
  

• Basic electrical knowledge preferred.
  

• Experience with soldering tools and techniques preferred.
  

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and calipers.
  

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and prints.
  

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  

• Strong problem-solving skills.
  

• Ability to follow written instructions and meet production deadlines.
  

• Reliable attendance and the ability to work the assigned schedule.
