Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Order Picker to accurately pick customer orders, support outbound shipping operations, and maintain an organized facility. The successful candidate will use a scanner-based warehouse management system, communicate effectively with coworkers, and work with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Requirements
- General knowledge of electrical products.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers to help satisfy customer requirements.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
- Ability and willingness to operate a forklift or other powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive working environment based on teamwork, mutual respect, and adherence to the organization’s principles and values.
- Pick customer orders of all types accurately and in a timely manner.
- Determine whether orders can ship using the method indicated on the picking ticket and take the necessary action to resolve incompatible shipping methods.
- Provide picked orders to the shipping team or will-call support for outbound processing.
- Use a scanner and warehouse management system to pick orders and put away material after receipt.
- Apply analytical problem-solving skills to resolve day-to-day inventory issues that affect order-picking processes.
- Participate in daily cleaning and upkeep of the facility.
- Follow all company policies and procedures while demonstrating a strong work ethic and honesty.
- Work with a high sense of urgency while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Remain open to change and handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as business needs may dictate.
Qualifications
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attendance record required.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
