Coating Operator

Location: Worcester, MA
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: 11:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m., Monday–Friday

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Coating Operator to coat and laminate film according to customer specifications. The successful candidate will operate coating equipment, follow work orders, perform quality inspections, and maintain a safe and organized manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate coating and laminating machines.
  

• Work with silicone, non-silicone, and adhesive mixes.
  

• Review work orders, process folders, and customer specifications.
  

• Set machine temperatures, airflow, speed, threading, and tension.
  

• Load raw materials using a hand crank or hydraulic lift.
  

• Add coating mixes by pump or by hand.
  

• Perform visual quality inspections and routine product testing.
  

• Make basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment.
  

• Record material information in the QAD system.
  

• Use basic hand tools as needed.
  

• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  

• Approximately 12–18 months of related experience required to work independently, depending on the equipment operated.
  

• Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions.
  

• Basic math skills, including measurements and conversions.
  

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  

• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds independently and move plastic film rolls weighing up to 200 pounds with assistance.
  

• Manufacturing experience or machine-operation experience is helpful.

This position works in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to moving equipment, heat, fumes, dust, and moderate to loud noise. Required PPE may include gloves, safety shoes, dust masks, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
