Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually

What’s a typical day as Food Scientist? You’ll be:
- Providing project leadership for the development and commercialization of new products, product improvements, and cost savings initiatives in collaboration with the Culinary team
- Designing and executing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and making sound technical recommendations for specific projects
- Developing process and formula specifications, and transferring knowledge to Quality Assurance and Operations teams
- Supporting operations and quality assurance to resolve ingredient, formula, and process issues, and managing product/process changes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new products, equipment, and processes
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance new product development, reduce costs, and expedite speed to market
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Hold a degree in Food Science or Food Engineering, preferably with a strong background in Baking Science
- Have 0–5 years of experience, with preference for internships or co-ops in food manufacturing environments
- Possess experience in new product development, from concept through commercialization within a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrate recipe/formulation and raw material knowledge
- Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), SharePoint, and ERP systems
- Are self-directed, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively
- Are willing and able to work off hours or extended periods during product scale ups
- Are open to traveling up to 30% of the time
