Job details

Press Brake Operator – Second Shift
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 p.m.–1:45 a.m.
Initial training may occur on 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate 85–175 ton CNC and ATC Amada & Toyokoki press brakes (must be able to fully set up, not just operate).

  • Read and interpret blueprints with high accuracy.

  • Work within tolerances of +.005” and degrees.

  • Measure and record part dimensions with calipers and micrometers.

  • Make necessary offset adjustments.

  • Follow and retain detailed instructions; comply with ISO procedures/quality standards.

  • Operate finishing equipment (e.g., Fladder, hand grinders, deburring tools).

  • Learn and perform hardware insertion tasks.

  • Use power/air and hand tools, including a rivet gun, effectively.

  • Assist with mechanical assembly as needed.

  • Safely handle repetitive lifting (up to 75 lbs. regularly; average part weight 2–15 lbs).

  • Work standing, squatting, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing for 10-hour shifts.

  • Use pallet jacks and perform basic tasks in Word, Excel, and business software.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2–3 years’ experience and knowledge in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional detail orientation and fine tactile ability.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

  • Organizational skills and willingness to contribute solutions.

  • Willingness to participate in cross-training across departments.

  • Familiarity with ISO and quality standards preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Competitive, negotiable wage (minimum $21/hr), based on previous experience.

  • Second shift includes two paid 10-minute breaks and one unpaid hour for meals.

  • Overtime possible as needed.

  • Clean, well-maintained, and safe facility with state-of-the-art equipment.

  • Fast-paced job shop environment serving Power, Medical, Technology, Telecommunications, and Food industries.

  • Cross-training is standard practice.
