Job Title: Production Operator (Racker Team Member)
Location: New Albany, Ohio
Department: Anodizing
Work week: Monday-Friday
First Shift: 6:30am–3:00pm ($15.50/hr)
Second Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm ($16.25/hr)
Job Summary:
The Production Operator is primarily responsible for affixing small aluminum parts onto titanium metal anodizing racks. This role requires attention to detail for visual inspection and quality assurance, as well as the ability to perform a variety of tasks on the racking line.
Essential Functions:
- Affix small aluminum parts onto anodizing racks
- Work in close proximity with other team members
- Lift and carry boxes of parts weighing up to 25 lbs
- Conduct basic visual inspection for part imperfections to ensure quality
- Identify and differentiate between various part sizes, shapes, and styles
- Fulfill multiple positions on the racking line as required (lead racker, buffer-racker, wheel, autoload racker, etc.)
- Build boxes for finished goods when necessary
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, especially regarding job duties and safety regulations
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts with both hands simultaneously
- Flexibility to work overtime, occasionally on short notice or weekends
- Stamina to stand for long periods
- Physical capability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to take direction from supervisors and coworkers
