Forklift Operator
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Location: Milpitas, CA
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support warehouse and material-handling operations. This position is responsible for operating industrial equipment to safely move, load, unload, transport, and stack materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect product loads for accuracy and ensure materials are moved to the correct locations.
- Transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Operate levers and controls for lifting devices, including forklifts and hoists.
- Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and boxes manually or mechanically.
- Secure materials and products for transport to designated areas.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Support timely and accurate movement of inventory throughout the warehouse or facility.
- Report equipment concerns, load discrepancies, or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Current forklift certification is required.
- Previous experience selecting inventory is required.
- Previous inventory management experience is required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and warehouse distribution practices is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of arms, hands, wrists, fingers, legs, ankles, and feet.
- Ability to bend, squat, sit, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to safely perform material-handling duties in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow workplace safety procedures.
