Location: New Distribution Facility (details provided upon hire)
Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Assignment Dates: October 5 – November 6 (potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (40 hours per week; occasional overtime may be required)
Position Overview:
We are seeking 12 dependable, detail-oriented Temporary Warehouse Transition Inventory Associates to assist with a major warehouse relocation and inventory organization project. This team will play a key role in consolidating inventory from multiple locations into a new 138,000 square foot distribution center.
This hands-on role involves the physical movement and organization of products, accurate counting and labeling of inventory, data entry, pallet preparation, warehouse cleanup, and preparation of items for storage and upcoming releases. Associates will report to the new distribution facility as needed throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare inventory, equipment, and supplies for relocation from existing warehouses
- Sort and organize products by SKU, product type, color, size, or category
- Consolidate and stage inventory for safe transport
- Build, wrap, label, and stage pallets
- Load and unload inventory, supplies, and other materials
- Verify inventory accuracy against documentation (move manifests, packing lists, etc.)
- Assist in setting up temporary warehouse zones, aisles, and storage areas
- Perform accurate physical inventory counts; flag and report discrepancies
- Enter data into inventory trackers and company systems (such as Deposco, spreadsheets, or scanners)
- Print and apply labels to pallets, cartons, and storage locations
- Inspect products for damage or labeling issues, and separate as required
- Repackage, retag, or clean products for storage when directed
- Maintain clear records and escalate unresolved issues to project leadership
- Safely operate manual pallet jacks after training
- Support warehouse cleanliness and organization throughout the project
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable work ethics and strong attendance
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety protocols
- Physical stamina and capability to handle material handling tasks
- Basic technology skills; experience with inventory systems is a plus
- Previous warehouse or inventory experience preferred but not required
- Team-oriented and cooperative attitude
