Job Description:
As an Electronics Manufacturing Technician, you’ll help build the next generation of CT detectors — ultra?sensitive, high?performance devices at the heart of advanced diagnostic systems. This is hands?on work at the cutting edge, where your craftsmanship directly shapes technologies that save lives.
This role is ideal for skilled technicians who take pride in craftsmanship, precision, and quality. You will work with delicate electronic and optoelectronic components performing assembly operations where accuracy is measured in microns and the smallest defect can impact product performance.
If you enjoy challenging, hands-on work that demands exceptional dexterity, focus, and attention to detail, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Build precision CT detector modules using advanced micro?assembly techniques, working with components so delicate they demand absolute steadiness and care.
- Execute fine?pitch soldering, wire bonding, alignment, and adhesive application with exceptional control and consistency.
- Inspect assemblies under high magnification, identifying even the smallest imperfections that could impact detector performance.
- Handle fragile scintillators, photodiodes, and other sensitive materials with disciplined technique and unwavering attention to detail.
- Operate state?of?the?art manufacturing tools and equipment, contributing to processes that are continually evolving and improving.
- Perform electrical, optical, and functional testing, ensuring every detector meets stringent performance and reliability standards.
- Follow cleanroom and ESD protocols rigorously to protect ultra?sensitive components from contamination or damage.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and quality teams to refine processes, troubleshoot issues, and support new technology introductions.
- Maintain meticulous documentation to ensure full traceability and compliance with regulated manufacturing environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional manual dexterity and fine?motor control, with proven success assembling small or fragile components.
- Outstanding visual acuity and comfort performing extended work under microscopes or magnification systems.
- Experience in electronics assembly, micro?fabrication, medical device manufacturing, semiconductor packaging, or similar precision environments.
- Strong commitment to quality — understanding that even microscopic defects can impact patient outcomes.
- Ability to follow highly detailed procedures while maintaining consistency in repetitive, high?precision tasks.
- Solid problem?solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving processes and new technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training or an associate degree preferred.
- Experience in ISO 13485, FDA?regulated, or other high?reliability manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with CT or X?ray detector technologies, optoelectronics, or photonics.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, SPC, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to perform fine?motor tasks for extended periods with sustained focus.
- Comfortable working in cleanroom attire and controlled environments.
- Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for long durations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
