What’s a typical day as a CNC Machine Operator? You’ll be:
- Operating precision CNC machining equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Performing machine offsets, adjustments, tool changes, and machine startups.
- Troubleshooting machine alarms, tooling issues, and production challenges.
- Monitoring production performance and maintaining quality standards.
- Inspecting parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, vision systems, height gauges, and other precision tools.
- Reading and following manufacturing routers, inspection plans, and work instructions.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
- Collaborating with teammates to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
- Keeping a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Are experienced in making machine offsets and tooling adjustments.
- Can read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Understand shop math and precision measurement techniques.
- Are skilled in using inspection equipment and quality systems.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Bring a positive attitude and a desire to continuously learn and grow.
- (Preferred) Have experience with medical device manufacturing, tight-tolerance machining, or advanced inspection methods.
