Location: Redwood City, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
Shift: Swing Shift — Spooling
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Position Summary
Kelly Services is hiring a Temporary Production Operator II operates manufacturing equipment to convert raw materials into finished products. This position performs quality checks, maintains accurate production and inventory records, identifies equipment or product issues, and supports efficient production operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment used to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods.
- Monitor production processes and maintain safe, efficient operations.
- Track raw-material usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Complete production records, data sheets, and required documentation.
- Perform in-process quality tests, including hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture checks.
- Identify equipment malfunctions and product deficiencies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and output.
- Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, schematics, work instructions, and established procedures.
- Maintain records of orders received, work completed, materials used, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate workload, staffing, equipment capacity, and inventory requirements.
- Prepare and monitor production schedules with materials planning, production, and maintenance teams.
- Request materials and coordinate delivery dates as needed.
- Recognize when deviations from standard procedures may be necessary and escalate issues appropriately.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company policies.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing, production, machine operation, warehouse, or technical work experience.
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment or production processes preferred.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, layouts, schematics, and written instructions.
- Ability to complete production records and inventory documentation accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot issues, and follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Vocational training or equivalent hands-on experience is a plus.
