Production Operator (Assembly – Soldering) 3rd shift

Location: Mansfield, OH

Shift: Third shift, 9:30 p.m.–6:00 a.m.Monday-Friday
Training Schedule: First shift, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., for approximately 90–100 days
Pay Rate: $19.80 per hour, including an $18.00 base rate plus a 10% shift differential

Job Description
Kelly Services is hiring a Temporary Production Operator III will perform soldering, assembly, finishing, testing, and packaging activities for a variety of products. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work with close tolerances, and proficiency using hand tools, measuring instruments, and soldering equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform various soldering operations, including torch and soldering iron work.

  • Assemble a variety of products containing numerous parts, close tolerances, and interrelated components.

  • Operate equipment required for product assembly.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics.

  • Use measurement instruments to inspect parts and verify compliance with quality specifications.

  • Complete products using nameplates, decals, hardware, stamps, touch-up paint, and other finishing materials.

  • Perform potting and encapsulation operations.

  • Complete packing and shipping duties as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Work effectively in a team environment, including work sharing, team problem-solving, and shared responsibility.

  • Train other employees when needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Must be eligible to work in accordance with applicable ITAR and export-control requirements.

  • Manufacturing experience, particularly soldering experience, is preferred.

  • ESD training and J-STD-001 solder certification are preferred.

  • Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints and wire schematics is a plus.

  • Proficiency in the safe and proper use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering irons, and power tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
