Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable Assembly Parts Washer to clean, organize, and prepare aluminum and steel parts for assembly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, stays organized, and can maintain a steady pace in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial parts-washing equipment.

  • Load aluminum or steel hubs and other components into the washing machine.

  • Monitor wash cycles, which run approximately 15 minutes.

  • Unload cleaned parts and prepare them for assembly.

  • Pair and kit parts together according to production orders.

  • Organize parts and set up tables for the Assembly team.

  • Process urgent orders daily and help reduce production backlogs.

  • Keep worktables clear and maintain an organized work area.

  • Assist with basic assembly tasks when washer duties are complete.

  • Use basic hand tools, such as screwdrivers, on the Assembly line as needed.

  • Follow all safety and production procedures.

Qualifications

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to wear protective gloves while handling parts.

  • Willingness to learn basic assembly tasks and tool usage.

  • Manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or machine-operation experience is helpful but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Parts are cleaned in a heated bath operating at approximately 150°F.

  • Protective gloves are provided and required.

  • The cleaning detergent is non-toxic, used at approximately a 5% concentration, and is not acidic.

  • The position requires standing, loading, unloading, and repetitive handling of parts.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Performance Expectations

The primary goal is to complete urgent orders each day and steadily eliminate the existing backlog. Processing approximately three wash cycles per hour is considered excellent, but employees can succeed at a lower rate while maintaining quality, safety, and consistent progress.

Why Apply?

  • $23.00 per hour.

  • Stable 1st-shift schedule.

  • Temporary-to-hire potential.

  • Hands-on manufacturing experience.

  • Opportunity to support both parts preparation and assembly operations.
