Spares Inventory Control Clerk – Shift C

Samsung | Taylor, TX

Samsung is seeking an experienced Spares Inventory Control Clerk to support inventory operations at its Taylor, Texas facility. This position is ideal for an inventory professional with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and extensive experience working with inventory management systems.

The Spares Inventory Control Clerk plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting audits, analyzing discrepancies, monitoring inventory movement, and improving inventory control processes across spare parts, raw materials, and infrastructure inventories.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of inventory management or inventory control experience required


  • Previous experience working with inventory management systems required


  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required


  • Experience with inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, auditing, and discrepancy resolution


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities


  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills


  • Ability to research inventory transactions and identify root causes of discrepancies


  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing, warehouse, semiconductor, or similar operational environment preferred

Key Responsibilities

As a Spares Inventory Control Clerk, you will:

  • Support daily inventory control operations and help maintain accurate inventory records.


  • Monitor inventory status and movement for spare parts, raw materials, infrastructure materials, and on- and off-book inventory.


  • Conduct inventory analysis and provide recommendations to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.


  • Assist with training new and existing employees on inventory control processes and procedures.


  • Coordinate and execute special, semi-annual, and annual inventory audits.


  • Support cycle counts and cyclic inventories for spare parts, raw materials, and infrastructure inventory.


  • Assist with raw material inventory audits and vendor audits.


  • Identify, analyze, and report slow-moving and non-moving inventory.


  • Generate and analyze reports using G-EMS, NERP, iEMS, and other inventory management systems.


  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and communicate findings to the operations team.


  • Research inventory transaction errors, including goods issue, goods receipt, and failed transactions.


  • Process inventory adjustments as needed to maintain accurate inventory records.


  • Assist with the development, refinement, validation, and implementation of inventory control procedures.


  • Maintain the GR discrepancy log, including investigation, resolution, and associated documentation.


  • Execute Zesati return processes for spare parts and raw materials.


  • Coordinate off-site warehousing requests for spare parts and raw materials.


  • Perform inventory research and analysis to support operational and business needs.


  • Assist with additional inventory control projects and responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced inventory professional who understands that inventory accuracy matters. You should be comfortable working with large amounts of inventory data, researching discrepancies, navigating inventory systems, and using Excel to analyze information and generate reports.
