Position Overview
Kelly Services is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Reach Truck Operator for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Kankakee, Illinois. This position is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional who can operate a stand-up reach truck efficiently while maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and productivity.
The assignment is expected to last approximately 3–6 months, with the potential for permanent hire sooner based on attendance, work quality, performance, schedule compatibility, and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a stand-up reach truck in a warehouse environment.

  • Move, stage, load, and store products and materials.

  • Place and retrieve inventory from designated rack locations.

  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.

  • Inspect equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns.

  • Maintain accurate product placement and inventory organization.

  • Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

  • Work effectively as part of a team while meeting productivity expectations.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of previous experience operating a stand-up reach truck or stand-up forklift.

  • Ability to operate material-handling equipment safely and responsibly.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

  • Ability to work the scheduled Monday–Friday shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties.

  • Willingness to follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.

Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
