Machine Operator I
Location: Irwin, Pennsylvania
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
Pay: $18–$20 per hour
Growth opportunity: Team Lead training may be available for the right candidate.
About the role
Extrude Hone is hiring Machine Operators to help surface-finish customer parts using technologies such as Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM), Electro-Chemical Machining (ECM), Thermal Energy Method (TEM), and Microflow (MF).
What you’ll do
- Load and unload machines, package finished products, and keep the shop area clean.
- Set up machines for individual jobs and install fixtures using small hand tools.
- Set machine controls for quantities and other job requirements using electronic displays and manual adjustments.
- Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned work.
- Maintain records throughout the production process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- High school, trade school, or equivalent education.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Basic mechanical ability or knowledge and the ability to use small hand tools.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to understand and follow ISO procedures related to job performance and quality.
Physical requirements
You must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, climb, reach above shoulder level, stoop to floor level, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
