Quality Assurance Technician (1st shift / Manufacturing)
Location: Bristol, RI 02809-5152
Work Schedule: Mon to Fri / 1st Shift: 7 am to 3:30 pm
Pay rate: 22.00 $ per hour
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 3-month duration (temp to hire)
Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, plus 3+ years of manufacturing experience (Quality department experience preferred).

Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with product testing and precision measuring equipment (calipers, CMM, height stands, etc.).

Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, strict adherence to written/verbal instructions, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Physical & Workplace Standards: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and maintain high attendance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Packaging & Quality Control: Screen, clean, weigh, count, and package products; follow quality control instructions and issue Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) for non-conforming items.

Documentation & Process Improvement: Read, interpret, and update work instructions; create visual aids and submit changes through the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.

System & Data Entry: Record data on work orders/inspection reports; use QAD to retrieve routing info, issue materials, receive products, and maintain inventory accuracy.

Inventory & Supplies Management: Perform cycle counts, manage department supplies, and request replenishments via Agora or purchase orders.

Workplace Operations: Coordinate with managers/leads to prioritize orders, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain an organized work area.
