Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $31.66 per hour
Shift: swing/between shift 10am-6:30pm or 11am-7:30pm EST

What’s a typical day as Scientist 1 – Quality Labs? You’ll be:
- Performing routine wet chemistry testing in compliance with laboratory methods and procedures.
- Maintaining laboratory instruments in their qualified state and performing daily calibrations/verifications.
- Initiating and participating in laboratory investigations of non-conforming test results.
- Preparing laboratory records and documentation following good documentation practices.
- Operating laboratory equipment (e.g., Gas Chromatograph, UV-VIS, ICP, FTIR).
- Utilizing computer software packages relevant to laboratory operations.
- Preparing standards, reagents, and controls according to established procedures.
- Providing audit support and maintaining accurate documentation and timely reporting.
- Complying with all safety and quality system requirements, including the use of PPE.
- Supporting LEAN, Six Sigma, and Maintenance Excellence initiatives.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred).
- Are able to rapidly assimilate and apply information, especially during training.
- Have experience or familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and software packages.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and safety practices.
- Are comfortable working the swing shift schedule as outlined above.
- Possess excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Are eager to learn and develop competence in laboratory testing and procedures.
