Pay Rate: $36-40/hour

Shift: Mon-Fri | 8:00am–4:30pm

What’s a typical day as a Manufacturing Specialist? You’ll be:

  • Operating manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment for the production of preclinical and clinical biopharmaceuticals

  • Performing large-scale cell culture with single-use disposable bioreactor systems

  • Conducting viral vector purification using process-scale chromatography equipment

  • Preparing buffer solutions and staging equipment/raw materials in production suites

  • Assisting with validation, data collection, inventory management, and equipment maintenance

  • Cleaning facility and unit process equipment, and ensuring completion of proper documentation to meet quality system requirements

  • Writing and reviewing SOPs and change control documents for manufacturing work areas

  • Participating in facility safety programs and resolving technical problems with internal teams and external vendors

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field (required)

  • Bring experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, ideally in a GMP-regulated environment (preferred but not required)

  • Are skilled in upstream and/or downstream manufacturing processes, including cell culture, aseptic processing, biosafety cabinets, process-scale chromatography, buffer preparation, and viral vector manufacturing/purification

  • Demonstrate understanding of cGMP requirements, deviation investigations, root cause analysis, CAPAs, and quality systems

  • Have strong aseptic technique, attention to contamination control, and commitment to accurate documentation

  • Are comfortable performing repetitive laboratory/manufacturing tasks and following written procedures

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across departments and levels

  • Can troubleshoot routine technical issues and escalate appropriately

  • Are physically able to work in a GMP cleanroom environment, follow gowning requirements, lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance, and consistently adhere to safety and environmental procedures
