We’re seeking a Sr. Instrument Technician to work with one of our top biotechnology industry clients in the East area of PR.
***ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN INSTRUMENTATION IS REQUIRED***
Salary: $25.00 p/h (plus shift differential)
In this role you’ll be responsible performing/providing calibration, documentation of instruments and equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, and analytical labs. In addition, will support the new product introduction, execution of calibration PM, repair activities and troubleshooting equipment and system.
Schedule: Available to work 12 hrs. shift (5:00am to 5:30pm)
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
- Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems.
- Ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
- Evaluate the current calibration cycles and make appropriate changes to optimize the calibration program.
- Develop and maintain a detailed training program for the team in order to develop team’s knowledge in all areas of the plant.
- Develop, revise, and review SOPs for related areas. Design, install, configure, and start-up multiple instruments and microprocessor based controllers used for process control. Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems for computer based process control systems.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Instrumentation.
- GxP Documentation
- Basic Calibration of Temperature, Pressure, Level and Analytical Instrumentation
- Sanitary Diaphragms and Gaskets replacement skills
- Autoclave/Glasswasher skills
- Maximo CMMS Documentation
- Technical Documentation skills
- Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) skills
