Material Handler – Day Shift – Florence, KY
Pay Rate: $19/Hr.| Start: ASAP | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: 7:45AM-8PM; 12-Hrs shift Rotative Schedule
About the Job
Safely receive, move, and organize materials and finished goods; maintain accurate inventory and documentation; and support production and warehouse operations. May serve as a backup for the Warehouse Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, completing required pre-, during-, and post-operation checks.
• Load, unload, move, and safely stack raw materials and finished goods in designated areas.
• Organize materials to support safe operations and efficient inventory control.
• Stage and label products according to load sheets; verify pallet tags match finished goods.
• Coordinate with drivers to support safe, efficient dock traffic and report concerns about trailers, drivers, incoming material quality, or forklift condition.
• Count and report inventory; enter and post inventory in the appropriate software.
• Print shipment labels and reserve, complete, and post orders.
• Support production-line material movement as needed.
• Label, seal, and move hazardous and nonhazardous waste to designated storage areas as needed.
• Provide training as required and complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of material-handling experience.
• Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, listening, customer focus, and self-awareness.
PPE Requirements
Candidates must provide their own steel-toed boots. Other task-specific PPE will be provided on-site.
