Feeder Operator
Location: Greenville, TX
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. (night shift, rotating days)
Position Summary
The Feeder Operator supports machine operators and operator trainees with production, quality checks, basic machine operation, and housekeeping. This role also helps maintain a safe workplace and promptly reports safety or product-quality concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Safety
- Follow and model all plant safety procedures and applicable OSHA standards.
- Hold team members accountable for following safety rules and proactively identifying and removing hazards.
- Immediately report all near misses, incidents, first aid, and unsafe working conditions to the Plant Manager and Safety Manager.
- Help ensure the safety and well-being of yourself and others.
Production and Quality
- Verify job information and inspect printing and cutting quality.
- Feed cartons into the machine and restart it as needed.
- Support basic machine operation, including familiarity with the Leary System.
- Assist with make-ready tasks and set up packing stations, including tape machines and inkjet printers.
- Help locate corrugated cases when needed.
- Perform rework and assist with palletizing and packing.
- Report product safety or quality concerns to senior management or the Quality Manager.
Equipment and Housekeeping
- Assist operators and operator trainees with preventive maintenance and machine troubleshooting.
- Help maintain the machine when needed.
- Keep equipment and the assigned work area clean and orderly.
