Assembler – 3rd Shift | Gary, IN
Pay Rate: $18/Hr. Temp-to-Hire | Start: ASAP
Schedule: M–F, 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

About the Job
The Assembler puts parts together to make products in the Tool and Head departments. Conduct functional tests and quality checks to meet specifications and support on-time delivery.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Assemble components using hand and power tools, including air-driven and battery-powered tools, arbor presses, and hand trucks.
• Install electrical components such as switches, sensors, connectors, and wiring harnesses.
• Verify dimensions, alignment, fit, and functionality; perform basic mechanical adjustments.
• Conduct operating tests using product checklists and perform visual quality inspections.
• Identify and address assembly defects or discrepancies.
• Record daily production data and document processes, test results, and quality issues.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area using 6S principles.
• Communicate with coworkers and assist in training less-qualified team members.

Required Qualifications
• 1+ year of Electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Strong adaptability, communication, attention to detail, listening, energy, and integrity.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred  Qualifications
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings & instructions and perform the essential job duties.

PPE Requirements
Candidates must provide their own steel-toed boots. Other task-specific PPE will be provided on-site.
