Through our partnership with the National Institutes of Health, Kelly Government Solutions offers administrative, IT, engineering, scientific, and healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with the leading medical research center in the world. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work on-site with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD providing support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

 

Duties Include:

-Interpret data and determine normal and abnormal findings that merit immediate clinical action, such as serious abnormal MRI or laboratory findings; present data and analyses to the primary investigators for clinical monitoring

– Obtain consent for MRI procedures

– Make recommendations for appropriate referrals, including NIH resources

– Provide comprehensive patient care activities in the outpatient MRI setting

-Recruit and screen healthy volunteers and patients for MRI, MRS and other imaging procedures

– Conduct structured and semi-structured interviews, screen subjects

-Develops outreach materials for students and the general public.

-Provide support during procedures for brain imaging and neuromodulation studies

 

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday, with flexibility to provide up to 20 hours of weekend MRI scanning support as needed to accommodate research protocol and participant scheduling requirements.
 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

-Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

-Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.

-MRI Experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

MRI safety training or MRSO certification

ANCC certification

Experience with psychiatric populations
