Job Title: Material Handler
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
Duration: Temporary
Location: Deer Park, TX 77536

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support our operations at our Deer Park location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, transportation, and tracking of samples and materials between laboratories and refineries, as well as supporting daily administrative and logistical functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up, drop off, distribute, and ship materials to designated laboratories and refineries.
  

• Log all samples accurately into the laboratory system.
  

• Properly retain and prepare samples for transportation.
  

• Dispatch courier services for urgent, “hot shot” shipments as needed.
  

• Conduct daily maintenance and basic upkeep of departmental company vehicles.
  

• Receive, distribute, and process all incoming packages from various couriers.
  

• Perform additional administrative duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to work safely with chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products.
  

• Physical capability to lift items up to 50 pounds and perform frequent climbing, bending, and reaching without restrictions.
  

• Proficiency with data entry and basic computer skills.
  

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
  

• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  

• Ability to read and comprehend labels and written instructions.
  

• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions independently and work with minimal supervision.
  

• Problem-solving skills for handling routine tasks and standardized situations.
