Electronics Technician I

Pay: $18 per hour
Location: Groveport
Schedule: Monday through Friday; shift hours vary

Position Summary

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Technician I to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment and components at the board and component level. You’ll help resolve technical issues and verify that devices meet quality and functional standards in a controlled production or repair environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic devices and components at the board and component level.

  • Perform circuit analysis, fault isolation, and signal tracing to identify technical issues.

  • Use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators or analyzers.

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

  • Perform through-hole and surface-mount soldering for repair and rework.

  • Diagnose and resolve integration and configuration issues in electronic systems.

  • Support PROM programming and waveform analysis during troubleshooting.

  • Document repair activities, test results, and findings accurately.

  • Follow ESD and cleanroom protocols to protect products and maintain safety.

  • Maintain diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

  • Complete related data entry, reporting, and other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma required.

  • At least 1 year of experience in electronics repair, technical support, or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of electronics, digital components, and circuit fundamentals.

  • Experience troubleshooting or repairing electronics at the component or board level preferred.

  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.

  • Soldering experience, including through-hole and surface-mount techniques.

  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.

  • Basic understanding of signal flow, waveform analysis, and fault isolation.

  • Basic computer, data-entry, and math skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom and ESD-controlled environment and lift up to 160 lbs.

  • Technical training or certifications, such as A+ or IPC, preferred.
